We try to offer a unique, well-made, quality product that everyone can afford. Most designs offered at the Beadhive are one-of-a-kind. They are custom made to the length that you require and we use only good quality materials when making our jewelry.

2. What if I am not completely happy with my purchase?

The Beadhive strives to have happy customers. We hope that our pictures reflect as accurately as possible the product that you will receive. If you are not completely satisfied, please return the item for a complete refund (less shipping costs). However, we are very confident that you will be completely satisfied with the quality and attractiveness of our jewelry.

3. Is shopping at the Beadhive safe?

We want you to be comfortable shopping online, and we understand the concern about online credit card security. Like other major e-commerce websites, we take the protection of your personal and credit card information very seriously.

To provide maximum security, we use industry standard and an accepted SSL Secure Server and Digital ID Certificate Encryption Protection technology, which automatically encrypts all information, including credit card numbers, before it leaves your web browser to travel to us across the Internet.

The major Web browsers, including Netscape Communicator and Microsoft Internet Explorer, use this technology. To be sure this security technology is being used, in the Netscape browser look for a gold key or closed lock on the top and/or bottom status bar and in the Microsoft browser, look for a gold closed lock icon on the bottom status bar.

5. Can I make a purchase by telephone, fax or mail?

We do accept orders and credit card numbers by telephone or fax. We will also accept cheques through the mail. If we receive a cheque for an order, the item(s) ordered will be shipped once the cheque has cleared through the bank.

The Beadhive would like to reiterate that we do use the latest security and encryption software on our site and believe that this is a safe and easy way to shop online.

6. How will I know you have received my order?

At the end of the ordering process, you will receive confirmation that your order was processed. This information will also be e-mailed to you shortly after you complete the order.

7. What type of shipping does the Beadhive offer and what is the cost?

We ship all of our orders throughout the U.S. and Canada using the Postal System. Standard shipping is by First Class Ground mail. our shipping costs are $3.00 for the first item and .50 cents for each additional item ordered. Remember, ours costs are in Canadian dollars.

Prompt, dependable, low-cost ground delivery makes First Class Ground mail an excellent choice for your shipments.

During checkout, your shipping cost will be automatically added to your bill.

Shipping Information
Orders are shipped within three business days of receiving your order. Orders placed on a Friday will be shipped by the following Wednesday. Orders placed the day before or on a holiday will be shipped within the next three scheduled business days. (Monday to Friday).

Please allow five to 10 business days for a ground package to arrive once it has been shipped.

8. How can I return an item to the Beadhive?

Undamaged Items
For whatever reason, if you are not happy with your purchase, you may return any undamaged item, within 14 days of purchase, for a full and prompt refund (less shipping costs to you).

All items come with an identification tag that must be intact on the item that is to be returned. Once the identification tag is removed, the item is non-returnable. All returned items MUST be accompanied by the original invoice.

Return Shipping
Should you wish to return an item to us, you should repack and return an item or items as you received them and in their original carton and packaging. If you no longer have the original carton and packaging, return the item(s) in the same or similar kind of packaging with adequate padding and properly secured with shipping tape.

Shipment Damaged Items
Every item leaves the Beadhive in an undamaged condition. We package each shipment so that it should be delivered to you in the same undamaged condition.

If, in the rare case, you do receive an item that has been damaged in shipping, to receive credit for the damaged item, you must:

  • Contact us immediately to let us know about the damaged item.
  • Package the item(s) and return to us using the regular mail service. Upon receipt of the item(s), we will credit your credit card for the amount of the item(s) plus the return shipping costs.
Earrings are non-returnable. For health reasons, the Beadhive is unable to take returns for earrings.

11. My hemp jewelry is very rigid and/or itchy. What can I do?

Once you wear the hemp necklace for a bit, it will soften up and the itchiness will go away. Soaking the hemp jewelry in water and letting it dry will soften the hemp, making it smoother and less itchy.

13. When will my credit card be billed?

Your credit card will be billed the day of or the day prior to shipping.

No. The only additional cost will be a shipping cost.

15. Will my jewelry look exactly like the picture on your website?

All items are handmade so there may be some slight variation. Also, if we are unable to get a particular bead used in a design, we may substitute a similar bead.

16. What material are your clasps and earring hooks made of?

Most of our clasps are nickel plated. The silver earring hooks are
sterling silver and the gold colored hooks are gold plated.

17. Since your products are priced in Canadian dollars, how does this affect American customers?

The Beadhiveinc.com has a
currency converter link on its website. It will convert the Canadian price into American dollars so you have an idea of what the product will cost in your currency. You should note that the amount charged on your credit card will be determined by the exchange rate on the date that the transaction is processed which may be different from the date that you purchase the product. This amount may differ slightly from the amount that the currency converter shows you on the date of purchase.

18. How do I measure the length of necklace, anklet or bracelet I want to order?

If you have a tape measure, put it around your neck with the end at the front.  Measure the length that you would like to have the necklace hang at around your neck and read off the length.  If you do not have a tape measure, use a piece of string to find the length that you would like to have the necklace hang.  Using a ruler, measure how long the piece of string is to the length that you wanted.

The same technique can be used to measure a bracket or anklet.

19. What do you string your beads on and what type of clasps do you use?

We usually use tiger tail, which is strong nylon coated wire to string the beads on and finish it with a lobster, lanyard or barrel clasp.  Some designs are strung on different materials but this is specified in the description.
